Nedra Willard was born on May 27th. She teaches 5-6 health classes and she is also our school nurse. She loves to walk, read, and ski. Nedra was born at Rutland Vermont Hospital and she grew up in Fair Haven Vermont. She went to college at SUNY in Plattsburgh and got her masters at Denver. She loves school nursing and would only change her field if she could be a nutrition counselor. Nedra decided to teach while she was a major in pediatrics and worked in a hospital with kids and worked with children when she moved up here. Her favorite holiday is Thanksgiving because she loves getting together with her friends. Some words that could be used to describe Nedra would be she’s understanding and generous. Her favorite thing about Barnet School is it’s a nice community and she looks forward to coming to school to work with kids. Nedra has been a nurse for more than 40 years. She has been working at Barnet for about 26 years. One of her most proud accomplishments is obtaining a health education certificate. She thinks health is important to learning. Nedra has one pet, a cat. Her favorite place in the world is Vermont. She likes Vermont for its seasons and so many outdoor activities. Nedra’s family consist of one brother, one sister oldest of three siblings, and they all grew up and stayed in Vermont. There were a total of four kids. She has had other jobs too, she worked at a hospital, in public health, in nursing, as a waitress, and a lifeguard.
