WELCOME MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

As I reflect on my fifth year at Barnet School I continue to feel very grateful for the opportunity to serve in such a warm, supportive, and welcoming community. The community’s unwavering support of its school and its faculty and staff is commendable and very much appreciated. I want to recognize our faculty and staff as dedicated and caring people who understand the importance of keeping the best interests of children in mind whenever decisions are made. Our students continue to be interested in learning, enthusiastic, inquisitive, energetic, and well behaved (most of the time). For those times when a few of our students have difficulty behaving, we have instituted some new procedures to address their challenges which include more timely and more frequent meetings with the child, parents, and teachers. The full text of these new procedures is included in the Planning Room section of the handbook. We will continue to work on updating our behavior management/education plan as the year progresses....

Eric Bogie-

Eric Bogie has been teaching K-8 at the Barnet School for 5 years and has been an educator for 6 years. He grew up in Berlin VT, and S. Rygate. He has 1 dog and his favorite holiday is Christmas as a kid. He went to LSC. He decided to teach because he likes students. Barnet School was a good choice because it is a small school.

A personality he likes is fun because he enjoys seeing people smile. His favorite thing about the school is the kids. He enjoys fresh air and the outdoors. He wouldn’t have chosen any other job, because this one is the best. His best achievement is reaching his goals to be a teacher.

He loves Vermont because he likes the changing of the seasons. He has one daughter who is one and a son who is four.
